due date changed again!

its been a while..a few weeks ago, we had a scare! i went in for my appointment and they couldnt find the heart beat..the doctor had no luck, nor did the supervising doctor, or whatever he would be called. they decided to send me to ultrasound, which scared me half to death..i even had to sit by myself away from the other ladies. it was horrible!
at any rate, the ultrasound showed a perfectly healthy baby that was actually 14 weeks, not 19 weeks! as of today, i am 17 weeks and i had a more detailed ultrasound the other day..it showed once again a beautiful healthy baby..boy! now i will have 6 boys and 1 little girl..we are naming him francis and we cant wait to meet him. the kids are excited as well. sarah wants to get bottles and diapers already :) i am going to start on his layette as soon as the new foot control for my sewing machine comes in..and i need to make his little baby quilt. i think the thing i have always loved about newborns is the new baby smell..after you slather baby magic lotion and powder on their little heads..so sweet smelling! i am feeling a lot better, except now i am very sleepy all the time and having horrible heartburn..ill tell you though, that is way better than morning sickness. i wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy.
little don is on the basketball team at school and is very proud..alex is doing well..and mike is in the 11th grade now! he was able to test out of a lot of classes and is in his proper grade.
other than that, things are about the same..we are pretty boring!

a good find.

today was really nice. i went to some garage sales and i found something great..an old treadle sewing machine complete with 2 boxes of attachments! all it needs is a new belt and throat plate so i am very happy. i have always wanted one and they sold it to me for 20 bucks!
i also got sis a nice comforter set, and the boys a few toys..there wasnt much boy stuff, unfortunately.

my due date was a bit off..

i am actually 16 weeks! very big surprise. i am glad to know that because i have been gaining some weight already and have felt the first little flutters if baby moving and i am glad to know im not losing it. (hows that for for a run on sentence?!)
the heartbeat was good, and it was nice to hear it.
i am still very tired and run down feeling....i just cant shake it. i feel like i havent had any sleep but thats all i seem to do..the house is still messy, and i just cant wake up. it will pass.
at any rate, my little dewdrop is to be born around march 22nd, not very far from my birthday!

yay for no more morning sickness!

i feel so much better now that i am getting beyond that morning sickness fiasco. i am still in shock however, that i will soon have 7 kids. i have mixed feelings..i mean, yes im glad but on the other hand we werent planning on any more kids, or trying..and here we are. we are going to have to do some serious rearranging here or we will be really crowded. i am hoping for a boy, but then again..one more little girl would be so nice! that is my biggest regret, that we only have one daughter..i do love my boys but poor sarah needs a playmate :)
i go to the doctor finally on wednesday for the usual checkup/grope session that usually comes with the first prenatal appointment..not looking forward to it except for hearing the heartbeat.
we put up our halloween/fall decorations and they look really nice! it was cool enough to have fire last night, and that was also nice. it is supposed to storm all night, so we are trying to get the yard work done and out of the way..well, enough rambling i suppose!

The outline of his spine is clearly visible through translucent skin, and spinal nerves are beginning to stretch out from his spinal cord. Your baby's forehead temporarily bulges with his developing brain and sits very high on his head, which measures half the length of his body. From crown to rump, he's about 1 1/4 inches long. In the coming weeks, your baby will again double in size — to nearly 3 inches.

awww, my little kumquat!
i know that even though i have been through this 6 times, i am still fascinated with the whole process. i just cant wait to find out what i am having so i can get started on the baby clothes..i love to sew, and i think little tiny baby clothing is just the cutest, so i cant wait! i have tons of patterns for little lambs, chickies, duckies, and all of that that i want to embroider on little cotton baby gowns and diaper shirts. i also found a place that sells vintage nursery decals! i love those old baby beds that have them plastered on the ends..you know, of a stuffed animal that is bright pink or blue, and they usually have beads built into the frame..very cute stuff. well, since i was an idiot and gave away just a bed like that because i thought i was through having kids, i have regretted it since i found out i was expecting but now, i have hope again! i will just get a new bed and put these on them! and everywhere else i can! now that i dont feel like my guts are going to fall out anymore, i am very excited about having a new little one. i just wish i wouldve known that unisom will get rid of morning sickness with no ill effects on the baby.
at any rate, i need to find something to eat and maybe clean a bit..very lazy today!

at any rate, he has won, i suppose. the odd thing is that he is still trying to be ugly..every single morning this week, he has mowed his lawn, namely the patch right under our window. i mean..its silly really. he got his way and he got away with poisoning our chickens, and he still isnt happy. if i didnt like this house and school district so much, we wouldve went ahead with the move. i just dont understand what drives people to be stupid like that, but whatever..hes miserable, im not. but i do miss my babies..i loved them so much! i gave them to the lady that sold them to us, and they are perfectly fine.
i found something that cures morning sickness, on a brighter note!!! i have been taking antihistamines with a vitamin b6 and it has knocked it out completely..now i dont feel like im going to die every morning. i hate morning sickness..to me, that is the worst part of being pregnant. i am still getting used to the idea of having another baby...i just feel too old..or something. i mean, ill be 35 when this little one is born so by that time i will have a 17,16,14,12,9,and almost 5 year old!
i found out where to rent one of those cute storks for the yard..i ALWAYS wanted one when i was pregnant with sis, and this time around i am going to get one. they are so cute! i also ordered an adorable vintage layette pattern off of ebay, so i can get started on those tiny little newborn outfits. baby clothes used to be so adorable..now, they are bland and boring.
at any rate, i have to get ready to go to the store and pay some bills etc..very exciting!!

expecting again..

i cant believe it.. i am expecting our 7th little one at the end of april.
so very shocked!
